No matter if people try to tear you apart, you don’t mind other people’s opinions because your love is real? A rarity these days, but it’s a beautiful thing. Netherlands-based artists Eddie van der Meer and Jabron have released an energetic R&B anthem for those experiencing this (and those who want to know what that feels like)!

“Cold” – The Wheel Workers

Since the early 2000s, The Wheel Workers’ catchy sound and intelligent lyrics have earned them widespread recognition in Houston’s active indie rock scene. You may have seen The Wheel Workers at SXSW in Austin; sharing the stage with The Flaming Lips at Free Press Summerfest in Houston, and opening for national
touring acts such as Miniature Tigers, Guerilla Toss and Trail of Dead.
Singles from the new album, Harbor (recorded with producer Dan Workman and released by Sinkhole Texas Records) have thrived on college radio and the album has already charted at #16 on the commercial alternative specialty charts due to the success of early singles like “S.O.S.” and “Suck It Up.” Working with local Houston artist T. Lavois Thiebaud, each medium of the album (digital, CD, vinyl) will have its own unique artwork!

“Feed This Fire” – Anin Rose

London-based recording artist Anin Rose was inspired by a close friend’s messy relationship, “Feed This Fire” explores that fine line between passion and signs of a toxic battle between lovers, seeming to insinuate their need to argue in order to connect. Coming from a harmonious situation herself, Anin could not ignore her friend’s turmoil. Her vicarious interest in this chaotic situation is what motivated her to tell the tale in song.
The dynamics of such a passionate relationship were an emotional roller coaster, delivering beautiful poetry and praise at its high points and regrettable arguments and fights at its lows.

The entirety of HOAX’s 17-track album is best characterized by its title track, “b?”, which happens to also be the epicentre. The whole idea of transitioning from a DO-er to a BE-er is embodied by the themes focused around the idea of BEING. The narrative told isn’t meant to be esoteric or grand; instead, it is just a simple truth boiled down to a quiet realization:
