10 BANDS WHO HAVE THAT MASSIVE ARENA SOUND!

“Down The Drain” – David Curtis Band

United States

A song that was inspired by the beginning of the pandemic and met with relationship challenges, this powerful, moody, well-written song by David Curtis Band is a song that you can easily play on loop! The sound is very reminiscent of ’90s grunge!

“Take It Easy, Tara” – Too Late For Roses

United States

This tune is fresh! It sounds like if Linkin Park and Emarosa had a baby, but with an EDM breakdown in the beginning of the bridge!

“Idolize” – Caleb Hyles x Judge & Jury x Jonathan Young

United States

This song brings me back to early 2000s Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace! Makes sense since this is a collaboration with Judge & Jury, which consists of Record Producer Howard Benson (who has produced several 3DG albums) & Neil Sanderson of Three Days Grace! Caleb Hyles and Jonathan Young are best known for their viral YouTube covers! This team has previously collaborated on the singles “Just One Step” and “Wolf Within.”

“The Monstar” – Ascendence feat. CJ McCreery

Jacksonville, FL

Featuring the disctinct, gutteral vocals of CJ McCreery, “The Monstar” by Jacksonville’s Ascendence is a vicious jab to the naysayers. The lyrics showcase a direct, yet sarcastic response from lead vocalist Jordan Killcore, addressing his reputation and being deemed “The Monster.”

The single showcases him embracing that title, and how he doesn’t allow it to slow him down or deter his ambition and drive.

“The Monstar” is a fusion of metalcore, rap, nu-metal, and pop. Electronically-charged riffs with trap-influenced beats, and a classic 2000s style range of vocals, from melodic to pure guttural fury.

“Ascendance” – Part Paladin

Australia

“Ascendance speaks to the familiar power struggle of confidence levels, and the drastic shifts experienced in self-assurance and self-belief from one day to the next. The divide between these two personas feels so vast at times that it’s almost as if a silent battle takes place in the fragile twilight hours to decide who will be crowned to reign the following day. The idea of complete ascendance over any self-doubt is comforting, and explored in this track very openly”. -Dux Newton, the creative force behind Part Paladin of his third single.

“Anxiety” – Chester Doom

Canada

Hailing from the East Coast of Canada, Chester Doom already has a sound of their own! When I first hit “play” on this song, I knew it was them without looking at who the artist was! With a punk rock attitude, Southern Rock soul, and heavy ’70s rock influence, I feel we’ll be hearing a lot more great tunes from Chester Doom!

“Equilibrium” – Suasion

Germany

This is the last single on Suasion’s album THE INFINITE, which is set for release on January 27, 2023. This melodic metal song is jam-packed with insane musical talent all around, soaring vocals, catchy choruses and heavy riffs! Definitely a band to see play live!

“Schemas” – Third & Delaware

Dallas, TX

Many juxtapositions here: the seamless transitions between clean vs. scream vocals, in contrast to the ambient guitars and heavy riffs, in contrast to butter-smooth clean vocals. This song is an actual sonic full-circle moment! Third & Delaware possesses an incomparable sound, and they definitely a band to watch!
