EXPERIENCE "SHOUT" BY DEEP AS BONES: A THRILLING AUDITORY JOURNEY THROUGH THE RAMIFICATIONS OF SEEMINGLY HARMLESS ACTIONS

Discover a powerful rock anthem that delves into the repercussions of seemingly inconsequential decisions with “Shout” by the band Deep As Bones. Hailing from a Christian rock group in Phoenix, this track showcases dynamic vocals, thought-provoking lyrics, intense guitar solos, and a compelling bass and drum fusion. The song was meticulously recorded at Mind’s Eye Digital Recording Studio under the expertise of Larry Elyea, who served as producer, engineer, and studio owner. It stands as a moving commentary on the outcomes of rushed decisions. The synergy between Elyea and Deep As Bones is evident, underscored by Rodney Scott Pieres’ unique lyrical input.

“Shout” is visually embodied in a captivating music video, brilliantly shot, directed, and edited by Gavin Donnelly of Soundphoria Media at Dan Floreani’s Painted Tiger Studios in Glendale, AZ.

The story of Deep As Bones is one of profound transformation: from incarceration and addiction to redemption and virtue. Established in 2016 within the Arizona State Prison Complex, Florence, inmates Rodney Scott Pieres, John Fabricius, and Walter Willis nurtured their debut self-titled album in the prison’s band room. After their release, they collaborated with distinguished producer Jay Kereny (Linkin Park) to finalize their album at TallCat Studios in Phoenix with drummer Dan Johnson (formerly of Red and Love and Death). The album reached its final polish through Ralph Patlan (Megadeth)’s adept mixing.

The band’s name reflects Rodney Scott Pieres’ Christian beliefs and the profound influence of spiritual teachings. Presently constituted by Rodney (vocals and guitar), Wayne Rogers (guitar), Tommie Bevardos (drums), and Richard Walstad (bass), they continue their inspirational journey.

In 2021, Rodney and his wife initiated a non-profit supporting human trafficking survivors.

The captivating journey of the band has been masterfully captured in the documentary “Prison Band,” which has gained widespread attention. Their music resonates profoundly, with frequent airplay on UK radio stations and features on various Spotify playlists and press outlets. The gripping narratives of Rodney’s almost ten-year incarceration and Richard’s nineteen-year sentence add depth to their inspiring stories of redemption. Passionate about sharing their powerful message, the band aims to reach audiences worldwide by showcasing their documentary at global film festivals. This remarkable endeavor seamlessly intertwines music and personal triumph, making it a compelling watch.
