Sometimes you come across a song -paired with an animated lyric video- that combines so many creative elements that there’s something for every one of your senses, which the alternative hip-hop group from the future, Nowhere Beach brought with their latest single, “Live Forever” on a quest to send warning tracks back in time to save humanity. This project is not only genius, it is necessary.
Fueled by rising authoritarianism and the crumbling of basic freedoms throughout the western world, Nowhere Beach is the product of these uncertain times and a historical commentary from a dystopian future. It’s concept music for the imminent revolution. The boom-bap soundtrack to the collapse of civilization as we know it.
Adding the refreshingly light-hearted element of combining comic book visuals to the sound and message, Nowhere Beach can send their important messages to people without it being too “in your face” about it!
The new mixed-media music / comic book project is the brainchild of Australian producer, Russler. It’s a sci-fi hip-hop collaboration between musicians and comic book artists from around the world, inspired by the likes of Gorillaz, Deltron 3030 and MF Doom.
