When you’re the first blogger to write a review about a band’s debut album, it only makes sense to write about their first show together! But first, let me take you on their journey so far:
Hailing from Moncton, NB, Truce is a 4-piece hard rock band that consists of Spencer Davis (vocals/guitar), Redmond Kang (lead guitar), Alex Lemieux (bass), and Daniel Mills (drums). Daniel is the only member who resides in Ontario.
Despite the geographical distance, nothing stopped this group of talented musicians from recording their debut album Unentitled, independently releasing it, and pushing their debut single Holyroller into the rotation on Canadian FM stations such as 97.7 HTZ FM (Toronto) and 101 Rebel Rocks (Ottawa), within a few months after forming the band in April 2021!
Along with the release of their second single, Ghost, they have dropped not one- but two music videos for the song!
The first video is a drum video, featuring Truce drummer, Daniel Mills. It was filmed by Corey Bernard ; video editing and drum audio engineered and mixed by Cory Hofing at City Sound Studios.
The second video is a guitar/bass playthrough video, and was filmed (and edited) by Andrew Pitre at various locations in New Brunswick.
The single has since been played on various rock stations in North and South America, as well as garnered international press coverage! Not bad for a band who has only been together for just under a year at that point!
Truce is playing their first show ever on Friday May 6, 2022 at Happy Craft Brewery in Moncton, NB! Doors at 9pm – NO COVER! Truce just asks that you to donate to the non-profit, FISTS (First In Stopping Tough Streets) Boxing Club, if you can.
Their second show ever will be on Saturday May 7, 2022 at the East Coast Music Awards Loudness Category Showcase at The Cap in Fredericton, NB! Secure your tickets -HERE- if you haven’t already!
