It may be the coldest month of the year in North America, but here are 10 songs that bring the heat!
“Circumstances” – Drew Schueler x VAANCE
Emerging pop artist, Drew Schueler cut his teeth in Cincinnati and Nashville fronting and producing alternative pop bands but is now breaking into the pop mold. He not only wrote his entire debut EP (New Perspective), but also played all the instruments, produced and mixed the entire project himself.
“I have always been fascinated by all aspects of creating music,” Drew said. “As with any kind of art, every tiny detail matters and I love knowing everything that goes into my music.”
“Morning Sun” – Carrellee
Dig that noir synth-pop sound that could fit in with the songs from Cruel Intentions? American songstress, Carrellee brings that vibe in her song “Morning Sun”!
The track is the first single taken from her album Scale of Dreams (Negative Gain Productions.) Carrellee overlays delicately sensual vocals about divorce and desire over a wall of scorched synths and processed tapes. She had some help crafting her noir synth-pop sound from producer Brett Bullion (Low, Poliça.)
“War” – Brother Thunder
The guys of Austin-based rock & soul band, Brother Thunder dove deep into the topic of victorious self preservation in their single, “War.” This song is for anyone who has struggled with being deeply in love with a toxic person, being fed up and finally breaking free from the emotional prison.
This track was recorded with Beto Martinez (Grupo Fantasma, Caramelo Haze) engineering and producing at his Lechehouse Studio in Buda, Texas. This song features Keith Sanders on lead guitar/vocals, Chris Peña on rhythm guitar, Angelo Dulang on bass, Jacob Rapp on drums, John Cherry on electric piano/organ, and Justin Malone on congas.
“Follow” – Ronna Riva
Romanian pop songstress, Ronna Riva unleashed her upbeat, danceable single “Follow” which touches down on the game of love.
She loved being on stage since she was 13 years old and was already touring around Romania with the Viva band. After she finished school, she dedicated all her time to her one true love: music!
Ronna confesses that music is contagious and once you are taken by it, there’s no way out, it’s in your soul. She wants everyone to connect with her through her music.
“Close Again” – David Green

In the catchy pop single, “Close Again” David Green desperately tries to mend a broken relationship. His diary-like lyrics are deeply confessional, adding rare depth to the songs buoyant production. “Close Again” has a message nearly any person can relate to, making it one of this year’s must-hear tracks.
“In The Middle” – Yulia Ehwaz
Hailing from Belarus, alternative pop artist, Yulia Ehwaz is influenced by synthwave/alternative R&B/pop-punk music.
“As I Wonder” – The Neon Sea
Dublin-based alternative rock band, The Neon Sea was
formed by guitarist/vocalist/songwriter, Tom Doyle in 2022.
The band’s debut single “As I Wonder” was produced and recorded by fellow band member Dave Flood (drums/ harmonies/ bass) in The Open Studio – Dublin and was mastered by Alex Wharton (Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine) at Abbey Road Studios,
London, UK. The band’s debut single ponders space, time and existence in general.
Much of the abstract artwork used by the band is painted by Tom’s young son.
“Shadeless” – JonoJono
This hypnotic grunge-soul track speaks to the likes of the subconscious and the overindulgence of humans. Like the warm rain during an isolated stormy night, the vocal melodies and guitar tones of “Shadeless” winds you back and forth into a trance. As the drizzled guitar strumming begins, it gently guides the listener into a peaceful state of mind(like the calm before the storm)as Jono soon flows lyrics of realism and perception on where we should be placing our thinking.

With solid melodic indie punk/trap undertones, Kid Travis sings a wide variety of styles of music with over 150 million streams on Spotify. Kid Travis has an active YouTube Channel with over 480k Subscribers & 60k on instagram where he posts both original music/ visuals as well as covers which have been recognized by artists such as Post Malone, Bryson Tiller, Rich Brian, and Dominic Fike. “Pressure” – Derek Minor
Derek Minor has earned the title of veteran in the game not only as a rapper, but also as a producer and entrepreneur. After a decade of making music, his achievements include a 2021 Grammy for his feature appearance on Celebrating Fisk! (The 50th Anniversary Album), a Gold plaque for producing Lecrae’s “Dirty Water” off the 2014 album, Anomaly, and a Grammy for his production work on
Lecrae’s 2012 album, Gravity.
