Songwriter and producer TORBEN NIELSSON returns with COUSTAN to combine electronic music styles he enjoys. While Torben played in several bands during his early years as a musician, he was inspired by bands like Depeche Mode, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, and New Order and began his journey into trance music with projects like Stormchaser or Modular and collaborated with Pulsedriver, Kyau vs. Albert, DJ Shog, and Torsten Stenzel (aka York).
Aside from this, he was also active as a songwriter (e.g. for X-PERIENCE, a German Top 10 artist). “Silent” was his first release with Coustan in 2014.
In Germany, “Hello” broke into the Top30 on the Spotify Viral Charts. He found his own sound for Coustan after fulfilling a childhood dream in 2015 by collaborating with the well-known Australian band Icehouse and producing a remake of the song “Great Southern Land.”
After some more Deep House influenced tracks with pop vocals and remixes for artists like Schiller (“Morgenstund” feat. NENA) and Lizot (“Menage A Trois”), Coustan reveals his new passion for Melodic House in the style of Lane 8, Yotto, Nils Hoffmann and Bn Bohmer with his latest tracks.
