"DARKNESS BEFORE THE DAWN": A HOPEFUL ANTHEM FOR THOSE STRUGGLING WITH MENTAL HEALTH

It’s hard to come by a song that truly embodies the journey of someone going through a tough time and looking for a glimmer of hope to hold onto. But when you do, it’s like a breath of fresh air.

The song “Darkness Before The Dawn” is just that- a beautiful and anthemic piece that gives voice to those who feel like they’re drowning in their struggles. It’s one of those songs that you just have to belt out at the top of your lungs, letting the music and lyrics wash over you like a wave. And let’s be honest, who couldn’t use a little more therapy in their life- especially in the form of music?!

The artists behind this Christian Rock masterpiece are the perfect combination of Caleb Hyles, Judge & Jury (record producer, Howard Benson & Neil Sanderson of Three Days Grace), and Lacey Sturm (of Flyleaf). Together, they create a musical experience that’s both satisfying and cathartic. And the lyrics? They’re like a roadmap for anyone struggling with mental health. Lines like “So I pray for a change to begin inside/ for the courage to not run and hide/ is it shame is it fear that controls my mind/ When I wake I can tell what is right from the wrong/ But no matter what happens I must carry on in the darkness before the dawn” are so relatable that they hits you right in the heart.

Overall, “Darkness Before The Dawn” is proof that music can be a powerful tool for getting through dark times. It reminds us that no matter how tough things may seem, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.
