“Forked Tongue” – Georgi
Las Vegas, NV
Sonically reminiscent of a laid-back version of early Lady Gaga, Las Vegas-based artist, Georgi sings about special features she fell in love with in the object of her affection.
Her past projects include collaborations with Rian Dawson of All Time Low and Elliot James, formerly of Hey Monday.

“Overnight” – Tony Newbury
Howell, NJ
The juxtaposition between the clean vocals of this song, which are dreamy and muffled, vs. the powerful flow of NJ-based artist, Tony Newbury is an arresting combo! Love the clean beats, too. Tony has already landed a headlining show and has opened for New Jersey OG Mir Fontane! An artist to watch!

“Chasing Stars” – SHUN x Monty Wells
Finland
The first time I hit “play” on this song, I automatically got an ’80s Prince vibe, mixed with modern vocal effects sprinkled in the song! Very new retro. I can absolutely picture SHUN and Monty Wells open for The Weeknd – this single, “Chasing Stars” is chill enough to lounge around at home with friends, and sensual and upbeat enough to dance with a romantic partner or sexy stranger to!

“Poltergeist” – Kaeley Jade
Edmonton, AB
Can you picture the genre of new country merge with ’80s pop (like The Go-Gos)? Look no further – “Poltergeist” by Edmonton-based Métis songstress, Kaeley Jade perfected this sound with her single “Poltergeist”!
“Feeling the spark go out in a relationship is brutal—it’s somewhat of a catch-22, because the harder you try to hold on to someone, the faster they seem to slip away,” says Kaeley. “A couple years back, I was seeing someone for a while, and just when it seemed like it was starting to go somewhere, I noticed a strange feeling of distance between us that began to grow and grow to a point where one day, we just stopped talking to each other altogether. It was as if I had dated a ghost. So I ended up writing ‘Poltergeist’ as a bit of a tongue-in-cheek response to that experience.”

“Strangers” – Mercer
New York, NY
This song was written just a few short months after a conversation NYC-based artist, Mercer had with her close friends at the end of her first semester at NYU. The catchy, easy to listen and relate to song stems from reflecting on constantly changing relationships, and sharing those experiences.
‘”Strangers” was created with a number of talented producers, the first demo was created by Stephen Dawes, then Lucas Sim came in and flushed out the track, the track was then brought to the finish line by Cameron Hale and Joe Avio.

“Villain Vibes” – AMALEE X Mori Calliope
United States
I was immediately drawn to the vibrant, anime-themed music video, which I didn’t automatically notice it’s a lyric video! If you’ve read my previous blogs, I have mentioned I don’t normally like lyric videos, but this one is one of the few I love!
This alt-pop single by AMALEE x Mori Calliope is edgy, strong beats with the contrast of smooth vocals and a rap bridge. I recommend this song to anyone who needs a theme song for getting ready to go socialise and need a confidence boost!

“You Can Do Better” – C.LACY

This song by Dallas-based artist, C.Lacy is reminiscent of late ’90s R&B with a modern twist. The music and melodies remind me of Usher’s early music in the ’90s!
‘You Can Do Better’, is one of C.LACY’s most popular releases and has already amassed more than 2,180,000 streams on Spotify alone. With a growing number of followers and
